Welcome!

REBUILDING TOGETHER OF WASHINGTON, DC (RTDC), makes free home repairs for low-income homeowners, especially Veterans, elderly, disabled, and families with children in our Nation's Capital, Washington, DC. RTDC also repairs several community facilities each year that serve our target population.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

2012 is our 29th Anniversary. Help Us Celebrate by clicking here to learn more about how we are recognizing our 29th year. Since our inception in 1983 we have repaired over 2,900 homes in our cities poorest neighborhoods.

M I S S I O N

Volunteer teams rehabilitate homes for low-income elderly and disabled homeowners, Veterans, families with children, and for nonprofit facilities such as schools, shelters, and 501(c)(3) community service organizations. Repairs help those who would be otherwise unable to make them (for financial and/or physical reasons) to continue living independently in warmth and safety and to age in place.

HOW WE DO IT

All work is done by volunteers at no cost to the homeowner or facility. Corporations and other groups raise funds and provide sponsorship fees to cover the cost of materials and skilled labor.

THE STONE AND HOLT WEEKS FOUNDATION

Stone and Holt not only believed, but proved -- through their volunteerism and incredible vitality -- that you can do good and have fun at the same time. They very much wanted to make the world a better place for all.  And they both had the gift of making everything they did a lot of fun -- with creativity and originality. From an early age, the brothers talked about making the world a better place and, even more important, they took action -- helping those less fortunate, increasing environmental awareness, improving educational opportunities for the underprivileged, building better communities. The Foundation seeks to provide support to the organizations and institutions that Stone and Holt were involved with including Rebuilding Together of Washington DC. Find out more HERE.
